Poured from the bottle into a snifter glass. Vintage 2015.

Dark walnut brown body, with a good sized 2 finger creamy head, very light tanned and with a creamy settling collar. A bit of clarity through the collar and a wispy top.

Fruity sensing aroma, with a touch of indistinct boozy warmth. Small senses but nice quality of roast, slightly dark chocolate and coffee. A bit of peanut butter nutty quality as well. Decent.

Palate manages some good qualities. Slightly creamy mouthfeel giving some nice coating on the palate. Fruity palate continues closer to dark cherry and bringing out some nice roast imperial character not unlike the nose. Washing a bit palate making a bit of strange wet character flavor strangely of dark chocolate and coffee. Warm pit of the stomach finish, but not too strongly, but with excellent piping coffee character.

A good solid basic barrel aged stout.

22 ounce bottle poured into a snifter

A: Pours black with some light coming through on the edges, no head retention, head was tan colored and creamy, looks a little thin for a barrel aged imperial stout, not much carbonation.

A: Bourbon, toasted coconut, alcohol is very noticeable, not much else on the nose.

T: Some bourbon, toasted coconut, hints of dark fruit like figs, plums, dates, touch of dark chocolate, roasted malts, very smooth and easy drinking, aftertaste is of dark fruits and dark chocolate.

M: Smooth, velvety, creamy, good amount of carbonation, looks thin but is medium bodied with a semi-dry finish.

O: This is pretty good, an easy drinking BA imperial stout, lacks some bourbon presence but overall has some depth and complexity, tasty.
