There’s sonethin’ kinda ripe about dis one. And I don’t mean ripe like my baba mama after Labor Day, or ripe like the under belly of a skunk.
Let’s dive back in...
Yep, I know what’s going on here - like 2 girls at the same time, Raul has never had this one before. And what it is, is a ‘Juice hazy.’ Yeah, this beer is trying to be Trillium and Monkish all in one. And like Britney Spears with a shaved head, it’s not exactly a bad thing. It’s just different.
So Raul says: Try it if you want to. But if not, that’s ok too.

Yes, it's hazy yellow amber in the Ommegang chalice with a nice pile of foam. Lime in the aroma with a touch of mango. Moderately sweet but cut with just enough bitterness. Citrus and a dose of candied grapefruit peel. It's on the sharp side but malty enough for balance.
Juicy grapefruit without the overly bitter pith describes this. Delightfully drinkable but robustly flavored hoppy brew. Refreshingly acidic but intensely fruity. Another Temecula brewery that should be better known. From the four-pack of 16 oz cans purchased at Barons Market in San Diego.
