Notes from 08/18/13 - 4oz taster
A: Dark amber color body with some ruby red highlights and nice fining quality. Thin layer of khaki foam appears with modest retention efforts and some minimal stick down the glass.
S: Smells nutty with a toasted biscuit malt filled aroma. I get a light dusting of garden spices and some earthy minerals suggested. Really clean on the yeast and pretty straight forward biscuit character.
T: Tastes of biscuit malts with a real nutty quality. Like lightly toasted bread crust. There is a soft hop spicing noted and touch of earthiness combined. The beer has a low amount of perceived bitterness and there is no real alcohol flavor noted. Fairly dry, clean, and rather refreshing.
M: On the lighter side and approaching moderate body. A touch thin but nicely balanced with a nice drying effort on the finish.
D: This is a nice Lager with some real nutty malt character and easy drinkability. A touch one note but I found it to be refreshing. Clean with nice balance overall.

Pours a clear copper with a foamy bone head that settles to a film on top of the beer. A foamy curtain of lace coats the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, grain, and caramel aromas. Taste is much the same with caramel flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp and medium bodied mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer that smells slightly better than it tastes in my opinion.
