I bought a bomber of this IPA from Albertson's on 02/17/2017. Bottled on 08/03/2016. APV 7.5%. Stylish-looking label.
Insomnia IPA pours a clear, lemon-yellow with moderate carbonation. 2 fingers of white foam with fine lacing. The smell is grapefruit, lemon and dank hops. The taste starts with hops and lemon citrus, followed by pine and hop bitterness, which is complimented by a mild malt backbone.
This is a refreshing, lightweight West Coast IPA. If given a choice, I prefer Wiens Brewing's "Big Cog" DIPA instead. Nonetheless, I like Insomnia IPA enough to buy it every once in a while. As with other Wiens beers, I wish this IPA was available with a fresher bottled date.

Light amber color, off white head and good lacing. Piney/citrus aroma also begins the taste, which ends with a sharp tartness. Thick, chewy body.

From a bomber into tulip glass from Knee Deep Brewery. Great tasting IPA. Smell is strong and taste is citrus with dank pine. Little to no malt taste which is just the way I like it. Exceptional lacing and smooth aftertaste. Will definitely buy again.

Not pleased with this beer very earthy tea like flavors and almost little to no hop flavors might of been old but still should of tasted better

Decent IPA but somehow lacking. It hits all the right notes but nothing about this beer will make you rave about it.
