On draught at the brewery. A straw colored pour with little lacing.
The toasted malt flavor has an underlying tanginess that seems a little off. The hops bitterness is a little low.

Not much to look at as it’s didn’t produce much head at all. Basically looks like a glass of apple juice. But that really is the only knock on this beer. For a Helles Lager it checks out pretty solid in all other categories. Nice balance between malts and hop crispness as well.

Well done Dortmunder/Export style lager. Keep up the good work Gunpowder Falls. You're a lager oasis in a desert of IPA's.

Had this on 2017-11-11 in Lancaster, PA at Hunger & Thirst on-tap. Full review to follow.
A - Clear straw gold with a 1-finger white head and moderate lace.
S - Bready, honey, very light grassy-earthy Noble spice.
T - Full, rich Pilsner malt flavor. Nutty. Light pepper and appropriate bitterness.
M - Medium body and light-medium carbonation. Just right.
O - Very well done. Eorth seeking out.

This is an outstanding helles - possibly the best I've had.
Pours a crystal-clear amberish-gold with a finger and a half of foamy, white head which sticks around for a bit. Gorgeous beer.
Smell is of light bready malt and faintly grassy hops, very light but pleasant.
Flavor is mild; first thing you taste is light malty flavors of French bread and light, herbaceous and grassy hops. Very tasty and drinkable.
Mouthfeel is slightly thin but true to style; extremely drinkable and thirst-quenching.
Overall I strongly recommend this. I doubt it'll be a BA favorite but it's an excellent example of the style and I maybe kinda sorta drank the whole growler very quickly.
