Cinnamon Almond

i really liked this beer a lot, my first from these guys. it is a great likening to the experience of getting a paper cone full of cinnamon almonds at a hockey game or something, warming and sweet, really cool new take on the winter warmer style, risky and done with fine execution. better than it seems to be getting credit for. what i like best about it is that the cinnamon isnt overpowering. its there for sure, but its sweet like brown sugar with it, instead of spicy and hot and intense, so the more mild almond nuttiness can be tasted and appreciated right alongside the cinnamon. its cool in a nice strong malt driven beer too, really is a perfect winter warmer idea, takes me somewhere, the flavor is authentic and balanced, and the sweetness from the grain works really well with the cinnamon and almond, great balance. not too sweet or heavy in the end, and it hides its booze really well. unfortunately i only had one beer here, but it looks like their others are inventive too. will be back for sure, this was an unexpected delight.
