Some folks who have a vested interest in seeing Penrose succeed really like hops - so we made this for them. A second dry hop addition of Cascades grown in Empire, Michigan, makes the wonderfully piney hop aroma on this beer that much more pronounced.

The nose is noticeably juicier. The body is similar but maybe slightly more cloudy than the standard P2. You get more grapefruit and pineapple on the front end of drinking this beer. The mid palate still has plenty of yeast character, and the finish remains sharply bitter. This is a nice variant on the standard P2. It shows what a second late addition hopping can do to the aroma. The aroma is the key change as it is lifted up and brighter. There's slightly more citrus on the palate at the start, but it's still pretty straight forward in the bitter department.
