Subtle notes of black cherries and dark chocolate lead into flavors of cabernet sauvignon with a strong tannin structure and finish.

A tad thin for an imperial stout but the body is well balanced. The wine barrel must have been a tad wet or had some residual tannins. You get a hint of earthiness and tannic quality ala red wine that really accentuates the dark chocolate of the base beer. My favorite spectral treatment to date. So smooth and complex.
