Meh! Bought at the brewery last week, when I tasted it I checked the date and it was over year old, didn’t expect that but even so would’ve thought it should’ve held up better. Smell was pleasant, Cherry and cinnamon, slight vanilla. Poured dark brown, thin head, medium body but had a metallic taste I just couldn’t get past. Was hoping for so much more from the description. Been consistently disappointed in my choices from them.

12 ounce can into a tulip snifter. Had 4/27/20.

Pours a dark brown, mostly opaque, with a half inch foamy head and light, soapy lacing. Aromas of vanilla, cinnamon- which fades a bit, cherries, chocolate, some lactose, some cocoa, light malt. Flavors of cherries, cinnamon, vanilla, chocolate, malt, light lactose. Smooth, a very good full body, well carbonated.

The add- ins all show well and make a nice combination. Very enjoyable.

Tasted in a snifter from draft at Penrose Brewing on July 19, 2019. Sweet Imperial stout with notes of cherry cobbler, cinnamon and espresso. Smooth vanilla in the finish.

Opaque super dark brown with a thin brown head, there is red on the edges when the light hits it. Smell has tart cherries, cinnamon, vanilla, coffee, cocoa and slight acidic booze. Taste has the malts dry and earthy with some roastedness, tart cherry, vanilla, slight espresso, and cocoa round it out. Dry through out, good for the pastry stout style, has a kiss of fruity tartness on the finish as it warms.

On tap at the brewery - Geneva, IL. Dark black colored body, but has ruby hues when held to light; foamy brown head has some redness to it as well. Sweet aroma of cherry, lactose, chocolate, and cinnamon. Flavors are cloyingly sweet at times with notes of cherry, milk chocolate, lactose, vanilla, cinnamon, and a hint of roasted barley. Thick body is velvety smooth, soft carbonation, and a sweet finish. This was a good dessert beer with a nice balance of the added ingredients that make it so unique. But given it's sweetness, one was enough for me.
