Canned on 3/19/18. I'm not sure if this was mishandled or old, purchased on 8/6/18.. Very faint hop aroma. Taste was bitter up front, with what I can only describe as a licorice aftertaste. Very little hop finish. In its defense, it was balanced well. This is totally based on what I had in this can. Not very good.

12oz, canned 3/19/18. 10.3% ABV. Modestly hazed pale golden colored "Midwest DIPA" with a foamy off-white head. Big pineapple aroma with some hints of passion fruit, pear, mango, and lemon-lime zest. Intriguing flavors of passion fruit, pineapple, Mandarin orange, lemon-lime with modest bitterness and a modest malt profile. Full creamy body, a bit resinous, soft carbonation, moderate bitter finish with passion fruit lingering; alcohol very well concealed. This was different, and I appreciate that. Good & unique flavors. Recommendable & I'd buy this again.

Great beer. Cloudy/Hazy yellow orange with creamy lacing. Smell is citrusy, lemony, dankly hoppy. Taste is hoppy and juicy but not overpowering in any form or fashion. Bit of a boozy undertone that plays well with the vibrant juicy hoppy nature. Not quite sure what a Midwest style IPA is, but this thing is great.

Canned 3/19. Pours a very hazy yellow with a small white head that recedes quickly, nice lacing. Orange aroma dominates. Flavor has some citrus and tropical fruits. Mango? Medium bodied, nicely carbonated. ABV is very well hidden, very easy to drink.

S-citrus, tropical fruits, light malt

T-light malt body with citrus, tropical fruits, bitterness in the finish

M-medium body and crisp carbonation

This is a heavier version of The Dorado IPA, which they call a Midwest IPA. This one come in at 10.3%. The look was pale and translucent. The smell was very nice with hints of orange and tangerine. The taste was where it differed from the original in that it was a little more bitter. Maybe it was all the malt it needed to get it to 10.3% but the alcohol was not as noticeable as the bitterness. It did bring out the flavors of peach and nectarine. The mouthfeel was medium with good carbonation. Overall this was a really nice beer but I think I enjoyed the original Dorado more.
