Pitch black body with nothing except a tiny brown ring. Holy maple batman! The nose is laced with it to the max, some coffee and dark chocolate in there somewhere. As wonderful and potent the nose is, the taste suffers from it, so much sugary maple, overwhelming the palate. As it warms you get some coffee, dark chocolate, and vanilla. Feel is a shellac of sweetness and light viscosity, no depth. This being said for a few sips, even a sampler size, I could see it being a fun dessert, but it is just so one sided it is hard to get pass. No BA this bad boy and I might change my tune

Canned 2/12/20; drank 3/8/20 @ the Yarchives.
Black/brown appearance.
A violent pour yielded a big, noisy tan head; almost no lace.
Strong maple, vanilla, milk chocolate & light roast coffee bean notes in the nose.
Creamy medium mouthfeel.
Maple syrup, chocolate syrup & mild vanilla flavors; almost no booze heat. A bit thin in the mouthfeel, yet a bit too syrup-y in the flavor; this is drinkable but not one to track down.

12oz can, date stamped 02/12/20. Black body with a foamy tan head. Aroma actually smells like pancakes and syrup. Very sweet flavors as expected: maple syrup, vanilla, chocolate, mild roast & earthy hops - pancakes & syrup lingers. Fuller body but not as full as expected; cloyingly sweet at times, you'd never guess it is 13% ABV; finish is sweet. Yeah, too sweet for me. Glad it is no more than 12oz.
