I neglected to add the proper name, Shadow Boxing. (But I doubt they brew this until next Fall as the tank at the brewery was empty and the keg at Tap East was getting there.) Anyhow, I hope they brew it again as I thought it was one of the Better British Browns (BBB) that I'd drank in a while... almost a youngster (Howling Hops is 12 years old) showing the classics how to be a classic.
Shadow Boxing Looks like a BBB, dark with sufficient foam. Smells are mostly rich malt. However as Tastes move from attack to mid-palate, the hops emerge and they have surprising staying power and I still tasted them 30 minutes later. A nice linger. Medium-mouthed, but not viscous as nicely thin (slender?)
As for the very good Overall Hugs, that's for Howling Hops being the constant innovator of brewing and the kitchen and for helping regenerate Hackney Wick.
