2019 on the label.
Slightly cloudy pale yellow orange, a finger of fizzy foam that fades quickly, leaving a patchy surface skim.
Aroma is really pleasant, floral Rangpur lime, mild oakiness, zesty with some subdued lime citrus.
Taste is tart and lemon-limey, mild juniper and oak in the background, a hint of cereal grains and Brett.
Citrus acidity and gin barrel flavors dovetail perfectly, with some added complexity from the barrel time.
Medium bodied with an effervescent feel, light on the palate.
Overall, this was fun to try, and reminded me a little of Off Color's gin barrel hits of FOBAB's past.
Thanks to Jenny & Thomas for this one!

250ml bottle poured into HOTD tulip.
Appearance: translucent yellow bodied beer with small one finger tall bone white head.
Smell: Gin, oak, spruce tips, and limes.
Taste: Light sweetness. Gin and spruce. oak & mineral water. Finishes with a lemon / lime almost Sprite soda type flavor.
Mouthfeel: medium body. light carbonation. could use a lighter / drier carbonation presence.
Overall: This is a Gin bomb with a nice lime compliment. Man this is quite a sipper because of the big flavors / Gin barrel. I would refer a lighter and drier body/carbonation; that would take this beer to top notch. I am impressed with how low the acidity is in this wild beer.

It has an amazing smell. The gin is a unique touch for sure and you smell it instantly, although not that it overpowers anything. It has the perfect level of carbonation and I love the feel. The taste has the gin on it for sure but it’s just enough. I’m glad I got a 4 pack and I’m wondering how this will age.

Had on tap. Cloudy orange body with an eggshell white collar. I am really starting to fall in love with the wild ales OC is doing. They are creative, unique, and leave you sipping asking yourself deep questions about what you are drinking. This is a good example, starting with the nose: sure there is gin, wood, wild yeast, tons of wood tannins as you would expect, but there is considerable citrus, herbs and general botanical aromas, red wine, grape must, and general sharp dried fruit lingering. Fascinating. Taste gets more vinous elements in but still second seat to the gin, oak is the omnipresent constant through the journey of all the flavors from the smell, has key lime, juniper berry, slight pine, and plenty of funk added. Lots going on here, but all work together. Feel is wood laden, slightly tart and acidic, funky and sneaky full. Unlike anything I have had before
