Blurring the edges of traditional barrel aging techniques, Double Barrel Aged DinoS'mores comes from a handful of barrels we aged for 12 months in six year old Wild Turkey bourbon barrels then transferred to four year old Willett bourbon barrels for an additional 10 months. Adding depth by pulling the distinctive characters of each of the separate distillery's profiles as opposed to simply turning up the volume. Wild Turkey's rye heavy spicing and intense, inky char buttressing Willett's more delicate honeyed caramel tones. Resplendent of French vanilla, cherry cordials, and fluttering, interplaying floral tones. Like two overly dramatic honey bees arguing where the best flowers are.

Had on tap. This is the regular dino smores but with a huge barrel, the bourbon in particular explodes in the taste. Char, baker's chocolate, caramel, vanilla and faded marshmallow dance around in this barrel's glory. Nose is more barrel dominant but chocolate and vanilla seep through. Feel is viscous, warm, stupid smooth and full with some chew.

Yet another big rich treat from @FBarber during NBS BIF #13.
Pours an inky almost-black with minimal head. A small swirl and that's about it.
Nose is rich dark and sweet. Very barrel-forward, as you'd expect. A rich vein of dark fudge runs through there, too. Dark charred malts as well.
Again, very barrel-forward. First impression is pretty hot, but that sets aside after the initial swell. Charred malts, and dark roast coffee beans meet barrel spice. I get less chocolate here than I did on the nose. More roast and char. It's not as sweet as I feared, but there's definitely like a burnt sugar kind of thing going on. The burnt sugar also kind of leans with the vanilla and oak from the barrel as well. Lots of char, lots of barrel, I don't get a whole alot of chocolate per se nor marshmallow and nothing I'd call graham cracker, and no smoke (though I don't think that's supposed to be in there).
Oily body, and honestly drinks even bigger than it's 11.5% listed ABV.
This feels like a great example of going big for the sake of going big. It's got enjoyable characteristics, but ultimately it feels a bit garish. I do appreciate the chance to have tried it for myself, though.
Thanks Frank for sending it my direction!

More like a 4.3 this had excellent flavors but most of it was marshmallow. Would have liked to get some graham in there for a more s’mores flavor. But overall fantastic

375ml bottle, undated - 2020 released, poured into a 14oz snifter glass.
The beer pours a very deep jet back color, thick and opaque with a nice finger of lively tan head, moderate retention, a nice ring of film forms around the circumference of the glass while just a spot or two of lacing remains. The aroma is very nice, lots of oaky barrel, smooth bourbon spirit, a bit of spicing, charred wood and roasted grains, bittersweet chocolate with stone fruits and light vanilla. The flavors are great, tons of bittersweet baker's chocolate, burnt wood, toasted grain, hearty and rich bourbon spirit, toffee and caramel with lots of vanilla while stone fruits linger nicely with a touch of fusel alcohol. The mouthfeel is good, heavier medium body, thick and coating with a dry and warm finish.
Verdict: A very nice barrel aged stout from Off Color. The two barrels interplay very well and really offer a lot of dynamic flavors. The oak is in high quantity and draws out a lot of nice complexities while the "marshmallow" aspects of the base beer aren't overwhelmed and play their part as well.
