Always fun to add a beer from my favorite brewer. (Untappd has 79 ratings, so let's move it BA-ers.)
Looks are neither lively nor the bubbles tight; barely above average for the milk style. Smells? Well, you got to have a second sniff to put the mint in its proper place. The sweet malts and vanilla balance in my nose. Really the same on the palate. I was expecting a smoother and creamier Feel; but nothing wrong with these active bubbles.
I'm liking how Off Color expands its line of lower-ABV beers... within that, its "Serf Style" micro-line is emerging again for the first time in several years (last one was Myska, if one is to trust my memory.) OCB also is using mint successfully; last previous one I had is a Dino rendition. So I'm guessing Shamrock seems to be a mint-take on the dry Stoutling; although the malt bills have some differences and the hops are different. Shamrock's ABV ends up .33 ABV higher. So, I'll have to do a test taste side-by-side soon to test my dubious hypothesis. Gartha' ! (Cheers in Irish.)
3/11/23 I aired out the second can for a bit and the mint was less prominent. Shamrock still was suitable to cap the afternoon and kept my motor functions sober enough to chop vegetables for dinner. A nice stout and I'll probably finish the 4-pack I got from Mousetrap.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
