Released 6/12/23; drank 6/28/23 @ the Yarchives.
Mostly opaque orange/yellow appearance.
A rough pour yielded a nice off-white head; no lacing remained.
Corn & sweet booze heat notes in the nose.
Medium thick, sticky mouthfeel.
Yep, corn & sweet booze heat. Not real pleasant, but it's better than moonshine.

There is an intriguing sweetness to Bags. I don't object to adjuncts, but I haven't drunk enough beers with adjuncts and even fewer that brag about them. Nor am I experienced in malt liquors. But, I rate this highly for two reasons.
First, luck: I drank Bags with a lunch of tacos and the hot sauce needed relief and this sweet beverage gave it.
Second, Bags is from Off Color... who is my favorite brewer. While they can do things wrong rarely, Bags is good enough to finish 16 ounces.... but probably not good enough to have a second. Less sweet will help if OCB releases Bags again. Its after-taste makes me imagine this is what corn syrup tastes like. But keep the Chicago skyline on the can, as this is the town where corn futures get traded. As usual, clever graphics from OCB.
I noticed that OCB's taproom, The Mousetrap, is selling tickets to their Bean Bag Room. This expands the mutual marketing of micros. Beer for Bean Bag is for summer. What is for winter? Beer for Darts? First, think of the liability. Cheers !
