This is abundantly sweet but there are so many layers at work, this is a joy to drink. Vanilla, maple syrup, honey, chocolate coconut candy, brown sugar, and ample bourbon all come to mind but this list is inadequate. The sweetness is blunted somewhat by roasted nuts, charred oak, and prickly rye. This style bending/defying gem is reminiscent of Revolution's Ryeway to Heaven. I can think of no higher praise.

Pours a clear brown color, dense, lively carbonation; skinny, fizzy head, light khaki colored. Outstanding aroma of chocolate, rye whiskey, leather, toasted coconut. The taste follows suit with the smell but with richer, denser qualities; dark and milk chocolate, fudge; bourbon; sweet vanilla and coconut; grain char bitterness. Heavy body; dense and sticky on the palate; boozy warmth and dryness.
An all-around fantastic anniversary beer exuding rich, dark malt flavors, spicy rye bread notes, and whiskey undertones.
Pouring temperature: 45.6 ℉; canning info: 2023

L: Pours a muddy red-brown with a small white-tan head and no lacing on the glass, not the prettiest beer out there.
S: Notes of brown sugar and molasses, mixed with sweet vanilla and bourbon a slight note of wood from the barrel. A little cherry and dark stone fruit.
T: Sweet brown sugar and molasses, followed by the vanilla and sweet cherry from the bourbon, with a sweet malt finish in the end.
F: Body feels slightly thin for my liking but nice creamy low carbonation.
O: This is a very nice bourbon aged beer that is definitely almost all malt and bourbon and no hops.
