this is easily the best and most genuine use of rhubarb i have seen in a beer. its striking really, such a dominant flavor in this wheat brew, its amazing how pure and true the taste is, i love it, and my girlfriend does too. the nose is a little sweet from the strawberries, but tart from the rhubarb too, i think its dosed extremely well on both counts. the beer has a lot of haze to it, plenty of leftover yeast, which gives the beer both texture and body, which i think the fruit really latches on to, a longer finishing beer that is fruity from front to back. the rhubarb is so juicy and fresh, while the sweetness of the strawberries runs parallel to that at a higher sugar frequency, more on the center of my tongue, but both are very visible here. carbonation is high and this beer is extremely refreshing overall. i can see clearly why verboten, even though they are so new, has won a few medals here, this is impressive beer, and if the rest of their catalog is this good too, they are way ahead of the curve. hope to drink this one again soon.
