A smoked imperial stout supposedly using cherry wood smoked malts. The aroma is malt forward with hints of smoke. Noticeable grainy and chocolate notes. A bit fusely.
The taste is similar. More stout than anything else. A hit of smoke that is more of a plastic note than smoke. Would like a bit more complexity for an imperial stout, but good chocolate and hint of roast. Fusel notes indicate hot fermentation and some phenolics.
Carbonation is good. Would like a bit more body. Overall a good beer just needs more.
