fro a technical standpoint, i think pretty much every beer i have had from these guys has been exceptional. they are all so well crafted, full of ingenuity, and drinkable. this is no exception, an assertively hopped kolsch style, it has elements of american pale or even ipa with bright hop bitterness, dry hopped aromatics, pungent citrus and fresh vegetal intensity, but also the crispness and cleanness of an american lager, cold conditioned and patient brew at the same time that its leafy and bright, really cool fusion of traditions and approaches from what i can gather, and while i have had hopped up kolsch types before, this one seems like a much better base kolsch than most, more traditional and well crafted, and it also seems hoppier. the carbonation may be a tad under where i like it in the style, and the body doesnt have a ton of character to me, but this is an easy drinking and well made beer, far more flavorful and dialed in than most craft interpretations of the style. verboten rules, and while i prefer their more robust offerings, i think this is robust in its own way, tamely robust... cool beer, pint pounder for me!
