Roll in Ze Watermelons is our late summer seasonal - our take on a traditional German-style gose. This salty-sour wheat beer is then introduced to ripe watermelon and the combination is tart and sweet, with a hint of watermelon rind. A new twist on the porch pounder.

Mildly cloudy, pale gold colored body; tons of carbonation; thick and fairly creamy head, white and sticky. Sweet, fruity, floral smell; watermelon and berry. The taste adds a nice, mild sourness to the same elements found in the smell; tart; tropical fruit suggestions. Medium mouthfeel; smooth with a slight creamy texture; tart and acidic on the palate; very juicy overall with only a twinge of dryness.
While not one of my favorite styles, I found this beer to be quite enjoyable. It brings some interesting, refreshing flavors to the palate, and (as the can label notes regarding its release timeframe) makes for a fine late-summer beer.
Poured out at 62.8 °F; no canning data noted on the can or label.

22 oz bottle. Pours clear light straw yellow with a small fizzy white head that quickly goes to a thin dusting that leaves little lacing.
The aroma is subdued - tart fruity wheat malt.
The flavor is subdued and pretty watery - sweet wheat malt and tart acidic sour fruit with a subtle salt finish. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with low carbonation.
Overall, very subdued and watery. I remember liking this a lot more on draft.
