Created in collaboration with our friends at Mythmaker Brewing. A unique and robust brew boasting prominent notes of delicious fig, rich toffee, brown sugar, soft subtle honey, and a hint of campfire smoke. Aged one year in an Old Elk wheat whiskey barrel.

Pours a dark brown which looks further darker thanks to a heavy murkiness to the translucency. Head is a finger of off-white foam. Aroma is smoke followed by the typical English barleywine sweetness. Toffee and fig pair alongside barrel and booze. Flavor profile is back to smoke, though it is lighter here than the aroma. Toffee, fig, raisins, and barrel right on the end develop a hearty barleywine with dense curtains of smoke around it. Mouth feel is medium-thick. Texture is heavy. Overall, an interesting pairing, but it works together pretty well.
