The odd name is in honor of Officer Michael Crain, killed in the line of duty. On tap at DDogs in downtown riverside. This was the last glass in the keg, but still had a livevly big beige head. This brew is dark, and actually black in the Pilsener glass.
Bitter chocolate is the taste. It gets rather bitter for the aftertaste. Roasted malt and a sweet touch to start, but this flows into a darker dry taste. Rather austere, though the creamy mouthfeel adds to the drinkability.
This is what you'd hope Guinness actually tasted like. But this does have some malty sweetness and plenty of foam til the last sip.
