At first, the nose on this beer will yield notes of a light brewed coffee and the Belgian yeast. Although roasted malts were used, this doesn’t produce the strong bitter coffee notes you would expect; the high grain bill in addition to the Belgian yeast softens and creates a delicate sweetness with light spicy notes from the rye malts. If you bring this beer on the trail with you, make sure to keep it safe from the bears high up in you Bear Bag!
