this is a clever beer, not quite as funky as i like my grisette to be, this is more belgian than anything, but its still yeast driven and the white grape is a cool add to this, more fruit juicy than winey, which i think makes perfect sense for this grainy session type saison. its hazy and pale in the glass, lively looking, with a very fruity aroma from both the esters of the belgian yeast, sort of cotton candy fake fruity, and then the grape, which also has golden raisin, apricot, and mandarin orange qualities to it, at least to me. the flavor matches the nose, but this isnt over fruited, the white grape is right where it should be in the flavor hierarchy, and its not sweet hardly at all. i really like the wheaty base, its got some solid body to it for being such an easy drinker, and its well carbonated, the feel is great for the style. a tad overly belgian tasting to me, id like more of a rustic funk than this high tone fruitiness, but i like the beer a lot overall, and really appreciate what the white grapes contribute to this. this is my first from these guys, but it looks like they do some awesome stuff! i hope to track down some more of their work soon...

750ml bottle & tap from the source.
Tulip glass. Cloudy, straw body. Foamy, almost meaty head.
White wine, apricots, bubblegum, residual yeasts. Really floral on tap, a little less so much j bottle.
Taste is dry, dusty, white wine & green table grapes. Juicy, moderately bitter hops, with a grainy wheat texture. Wierd concord grape finish that seals it. Edible. Chewing on the glass grab and yeasty grain combo.
Good stuff.
