At my lady Pamela's house; canned and chilled, 473mL in a pint glass. From my favourite LCBO at Tecumseh Mall in nearby Windsor. Canned May 20/25. My sixth beer from the London, Ontario brewery, and fourth for 2025. Recommended by Sundae the cat...

473 mL can from the LCBO; dated May 20 2025 and served barely chilled. I noticed while adding this beer that this will be my 50th Forked River review. Cheers to fifty more!
Pours a foggy straw yellow colour, producing an inch of soapy, foamy white head that recedes within the next several minutes. A frothy collar and a spotty cap remain, with a narrow ring of lace clinging to the glass - looks normal enough so far. Fruity hop aromas of grapefruit, lime zest and orchard fruits, with shades of lemon and pine needles.
It's a tasty, crisp session IPA that I liked almost immediately. Grainy malts provide some scaffolding for hoppy flavours of grapefruit, pineapple and melon; I'm also getting something like an underripe strawberry note. Grassy, weakly piney bitterness and citrus pith tie up the back end nicely, fading into a mildly fruity aftertaste that trends off-dry. Light-ish in body, with middling carbonation that makes for a smooth mouthfeel; crisp and refreshing, with outstanding drinkability.
Final Grade: 3.88, a B+. Bravo! is a good session IPA: heck, I'm tempted to cheer for an encore. I'm sure the freshness helps, but I dare say that this is one of the best IPAs I've had from Forked River in years - and that's coming from a guy who doesn't usually have much interest in lighter IPAs. I will continue to buy this during the summer months, a time of year when lighter beers suddenly become much more attractive to me. Too bad I didn't have this two days ago, when it was so goddamn hot that the highway melted and deformed (true story).
