Pours nice clean brown with a moderate head that quickly dissipates. Smells of caramel and nuts. Taste is very malty and bitter with some caramel mixed in. ABV is not that high but you can catch just a hint of it. Not bad. Light carbonation. Makes for a good sipping beer on a cool spring evening.

An initial 2 finger light tan head that recedes rather quickly. Red in color and crystal clear with numerous and tiny bubbles of carbonation.
The aroma is of sweet and very nutty malt, and yet it seems fruity as well with hints of cherry.
The taste generally mimics the aroma though the cherry is less evident. A rather subtle bitterness at first, that then seems to want to take over the show, but becomes more balanced the more you drink.
Light to moderate in body with moderate carbonation. It seems to be slightly numbing and a bit drying.
A pretty decent beer. The bitter quality, while moderate at first, almost seems to get out of hand, but it mellows nicely in the end, becoming more subtle.

The beer has a good color, and a mildly pleasant smell. However, it is bitter to the taste, akin to an IPA. Designed as a winter Scottish ale, hops are sadly over balanced. Good mouth feel, carbonation. Overall an okay beer, just bitter.

Pours a dark copper with a one inch head, translucent, great looking beer. Can says it's made with English hops, and the nose and taste are proof of this. This is not a sweet candy wee heavy, with doughnut-flavored malts. The hops shade it toward an ESB bitterness, and it's an attractive addition. The result is a scotch ale that is malty yet pleasantly bitter, with flavors of toast, tea leaf, burnt sugar, caramel, and a dusty barn taste that ties the whole thing together. The ABV is only 6.6, which means that I can still function after drinking one, and it's an attractive difference to the alcohol-hot wee heavy that has become commonplace. Good alternative to the so-so regulars in an increasingly crowded field. Seek this one out.

Dark amber ale. Smells pleasant with an aroma I can't place, but unfortunately, the taste does not match it, much more bitter than I had hoped it would be. Probably a good ale if you like IPAs, which I do not.

A nice golden color with a rather mild aroma. It's a little hoppy, a little creamy, but very understated. I imagine if you sat on this one for a while it would be a little more dynamic. Not bad, but not exactly noteworthy.
