definitely low on the abv for what i know a stock ale to be, these are supposed to be boozy and cellarable forever, this one, not so much, although its a cool beer because its brewed with figs, and figs in beer is almost always awesome, and theres not enough of that. lucky enough to have this one on tap at backcountry, although it came out a little flat for me, not enough life to this one, even though sometimes the style can be near still and work, it just doesnt this time, and its lack of life hurts it for me. sweet but real light malt base, i think lackign both body and sweetness for stock ale in general, but i like what the figs add, as light and accent flavor as they are, they do something cool to this one, and its more than a generic fruitiness, its a decidedly intentional sweet almost raison complexion. it would get lost in a sweeter stronger beer, so props for keeping it light to show the figs, but it just doesnt come together the way i wished it would have. tasty stuff, but about where the rest of the sanitas beer is for me, somewhere between better than average and cool but forgettable. idea is better than the product.
