A: crystal clear; pale gold in color; with a very aggressive pour, a 1 finger white head that receded to a splotchy cap; nice lacing;
S: soapy, floral, citrus;
T: earthy, tobacco, and citrus from start to finish; very mild bitterness at the end;
M: light to medium bodied; light carbonation; moderately dry finish;
O: citrus is very overstated; the combination of light body and light carbonation makes this seem watery;

drinkable and flavorful but largely irrelevant beer, at least for me. the latest sanitas can is here for the summer, right on trend with the citrus, and thoroughly easy drinking. its dry, well carbonated, and has a fresh citrus squeeze in the finish, more orange than lemon or lime, and smartly not overdone to keep it tasting quite natural. there is a bit of a malt flavor here, more than a standard pale lager, but it never gets sweet, which i think keeps this one refreshing. in fact, the beer is sort of understated overall, as not only is the citrus addition mild, but even the lager yeast that i expected to partially define this beer is sort of not really there, at least in flavor, its impact on the mouthfeel is obvious, drying it out and crisping it up. when ice cold, i could rip a bunch of these right from the can in sort of a not really paying attention to me beer kind of way, but when i sit down and really spend some time with it, it doesnt really pass muster as something worthy of such careful consumption. a nice hot weather drinker though, and it should have extremely wide appeal. i cant see anyone disliking this for any reason. minimally complex as they go...
