On tap. Copper orange and clear. Not much smell at all. Maybe light flower if I'm reaching. Taste is more of the light flower, some black pepper spice. It is super dry, almost like a seltzer beer. No idea where the Citra is supposed to fit in, I don't taste or smell it. Overall not a fan

This beer is a perfect example of internet hype and heard mentality. I had this beer side by side with a PseudoSue and they are nearly identical. One gets a perfect score and the other is slammed. This is a solid APA that everyone at the party enjoyed. And all agreed with the side by side comparison!

Bright orange, frothy white foam on the surface. Spotty lace around the edges, lasting surface skim.
Aroma was ok a couple weeks ago, this bottle is bland. Buttery biscuit malt, vague orange juice.
Taste is astringent, aluminum and mild apple with a seltzery edge that seems like a hint of infection. Overcarbonated and thin. Not good. I'm not sure what's going in with this, but it's about as far from a Citra APA as possible.

12oz bottle, poured into a snifter. The aroma is a caramel syrup with a sugary orange / jolly rancher note and a bit of solvent near the end. It pours a brilliant, clear, effervescent, light amber hue with a sparkling, clean white, big foam head that has good retention and a messy, puffy lace. The taste is a muted, citrus bittersweet at moderate levels, mostly balanced. The texture is slick with a soapy foam carbonation and a medium light body with a profile of grapefruit and sweet orange up front and caramel and grains just under that. It finishes grainy with a bitter citrus peel and candy orange. The aftertaste is a dry caramel with a bit of molasses and a citrus note that lingers.

Bought at Mariano's in suburban Chicago. If pseudosue and zombie dust are not available, this is a great option!

Appearance - Very nice deep copper, fairly clear, lasting ring of white bubbles.
Aroma - Toasty malt at a medium level with a light fruity hop note. More like Jucyfruit gum than like the Citra hop aroma I'm used to.
MouthFeel - medium carb, medium body. Nothing off.
Taste - Real disappointment. I was really hoping for some nice hop flavor. Toasty sweet malt balanced by hop bitterness and just the slightest hint of some Citra flavor. It's like they wanted to only put the very smallest late hop addition in the kettle.
Overall - Disappointing. Especially for the price. Probably just what Mariono's wanted to appeal to people who may not like hoppy beers. Really turning me off from trying any other Ten Ninety beers.

12oz bottle, "American Pale Ale with Citra hops brewed exclusively for Mariano's
A - hazed amber body with loads of carbonation yielding a creamy and persistent ivory colored head
S - fruity nose with tropical and citrus notes
T - tastes are a bit muddled, orange and grapefruit pith, some mango and pineapple, caramel, bready malt
M - medium body, lots of carbonation, quite dry on the finish
O - this was a disappointment for me. I love Citra hops, but this didn't really showcase them to their potential at all.
