Reimagining the classic Witbier style, Ten Ninety takes their own witty demeanor and applies it to a sour Belgian-styled wheat that's spiced up with coriander and orange peel for a relatable wheat beer taste but with a witty twist.
Pale and cloudy with a milky lemon hue, Sharp Wit builds an airy stark white swath of sea foam with the soft spicy perfume of coriander and bitter orange drifting across the nose. With a notion of sourdough, damp wheat and soft vanilla, the nose is both earthen, lemony, briny and peppery. Light sweetness bounces from the early palate with the likeness of powdered sugar, dough and honeysuckle.
But any attention to the malt display is soon thwarted as a brisk acidity washes away the cereal and grain sweetness, replacing it with a crisp, clean sourness that portrays a lemon, light lime, crabapple, gooseberry, white grape tanginess to change this wheat beer into a full-blown sour ale. The floral spices turn quickly into a spicy balance that gives the sourness a piquant bite to close.
Crisp, clean and refreshing, there's a wheat germ character that permeates through the sourness for a continued sourdough taste even late on the tongue. its sourness is simplistic and acute and exits the palate suddenly for beer of low aftertaste and a somewhat arid mouthfeel. A hint of wine and cider echo in a very brief aftertaste to accompany the sourdough ever so slightly.

Great taste with ever so slight bitterness. Pungent yet not overpowering. Strangely I wish it had a little more sourness to it. Good beer, great place for beer

Aroma is citrus, wheat and a strong hint of lactic acid. The flavor is citrus, wheat, lactic acid, spices, mild funk and a long and very tart/dryish finish.
