Had on tap at the brewery.
A - Cloudy; dark straw colored with a hint of amber. Head was off-white, thick, creamy and long-lasting. Thick lacing.
S - Aroma is of earthy noble hops. Some wheat grain notes. Bananas, cloves and other yeast notes are restrained.
T - Wheat grain dominates, with some sweet sugar in the mid-palate. Some banana and spice late in the palate. Little aftertaste. Very clean and restrained, yet hits all the right buttons for a German wheat beer.
M - Carbonation is fizzy but smooth. Low hops bitterness. No alcohol note. Medium to heavy body, but not cloying.
O - Very clean and restrained version of a German wheat beer. It is very well executed, but I'd appreciate more aggressive flavors, since they are so enjoyable.
