Copenhagen 20/6 2024. 33 cl bottle from Rewe, Süderquerweg, Hamburg. Off-white label with a drawing of a fellow with a huge Pipe Collar.
Pours almost clear yellow with a mid-sized white head. A bit bubbly. Settles as thin, almost transparent layer of foam just covering the surface of the beer. Hanging on to the sides of the glass. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet malty odor mingling with a bit of citrus fruit and freshly mown grass. Sweet pale malts, bread. Lemongrass and citrus.
Medium strong carbonation Thin, watery, lively and tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium, strong sweetness followed by a stronger citric bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a sweet undertone. Lingers for a while. Finish is rather dry.
Fine fruity Helles.

330ml bottle served in a correctly branded and sized glass that is shaped like a shaker pint.
Pours clear straw gold with brassy tinges, big floofy head that settles into a thick, dense, uneven cap. Small but undeniable amount of active carbonation. Smell is primarily lemon and grass. Some grain in there, but not what I'm expecting from a helles.
Taste is similar to the smell. Way too hoppy for a helles, a little more oomph and I'd call it an IPL.
Mouthfeel is light, slight oiliness. Overall...it's honestly not a bad beer, but not what I was expecting or hoping for from a bottle that says "helles"
