On tap at the brewery. Served in a plastic cup.
Appearance - Really murky. Pinkish pond water look. Small white head and a medium collar.
Smell - Banana and clove. Light estery fruitiness. No pomegranate.
Taste - Fruitier, but still not pomegranate. Kinda citrusy. Wheaty graininess. Clove and banana phenolic aftertaste.
Mouthfeel - Medium body. Medium carbonation. A little bit of creaminess.
Overall - This just isn't very good. No pomegranate that I can really discern. Sluggish to drink.

On tap at Funky Buddha 5/21/2014.
A- Hazy straw-coloured body typical of a hefeweizen with a solid two finger white head, also about right for the style. Not much lacing, but does have solid retention.
S- Lots of banana and cloves, a little bit of bubblegum, not much fruitiness apparent in the nose. Smells like any other hefeweizen to be honest.
F- Starts out fruity in the beginning; the fruit actually does make me think pomegranate, though its not a distinct pomegranate flavour. In the middle, the cloves and banana start to pick up, and by the end of the palate, it's dominant. A solid fruity start and a classic hefeweizen finish. This is certainly enjoyable and solid, especially on a humid day like this in Florida.
M- Substantial enough body, on the thinner side but well carbonated and refreshing. Finish is like that of any hefeweizen, may even be a bit heavy on the yeast.
O- This is a nice take on the hefeweizen style; nothing complex but it is certainly an interesting flavour with the fruit flavours starting things off but with the yeast reminding you that it's there.
