Smells nice and delivers on the palate. Roastiness and dark unsweet chocolate are the initial and dominant flavors. There's, a bit of coffee, some wood, and something sweet transitioning off the wood note like the torched sugar on a creme brulee. I didn't notice the salt initially but later in the glass I got a hint of it at the end of sips. It's tasty and interesting.

On tap at the brewery. Served in a snifter.

Appearance - Black. A little transparent at the edges. Medium khaki head and a thick collar.

Smell - Lots of chocolate. A little lactose. Mostly chocolate.

Taste - The chocolate is the main flavor here too. I get the salt, too. Gives it a minerally flavor and even comes off as just a tad salty. Finish is more akin to the standard OP Porter with the lactose.

Mouthfeel - Medium body. Well carbonated.

Overall - Works well. Substantial chocolate flavor.
