Limited release on tap at the Oakland Park brewery.
They bill this as session IPA. If you like mint, this one gives it a very pleasant treatment. If you don't like mint, well it's not that overpowering kind and maybe you'd like it anyway. There's a nice and noticeable bitterness to it that made me wonder if it was the bitterness you get from citrus peel or hops or both. I'll assume both. I can't say I really noticed the passionfruit, which is a pretty distinct and memorable taste, but overall this was such a refreshing and pleasant beer that I'm not sure it needed it. The fresh smell and taste of the mint went nicely with the lighter ABV and played off the bitterness in a way that made me keep wanting to think about it and consider it, which is always a winner in my book. I want interesting beers. This one was interesting and summery cool fun. If I had to use only one word I'd say fresh, or refreshing. Nicely done.
