22oz bottle poured into a tulip
A- pours black in color with a one-finger khaki colored head that reduces to leave just a ring behind
S- plenty of bourbon barrel aromas up front give wet oak, barrel juice, vanilla and a bit of caramel. Sweet chocolate fudge, brownie batter, marshmallow cream, graham cracker pie crust and a bit of booze close it out
T- rich chocolate cream and creamy marshmallow up front, followed by a bold bourbon barrel note, which adds some woody oak, bourbon, and an enhancing vanilla note. The finish gives sweet chocolate fudge, marshmallow and bourbon
M- medium body with moderate carbonation leads to a foamy mouthfeel that turns into a creamy, warming finish
O- chocolate, vanilla and bourbon are a nice mix. The only thing missing is some graham cracker flavors

The beer pours Black with a thin khaki head. It has low carbonation. The beer smells of chocolate, vanilla, marshmallows, Licorice, and faint bourbon. It tastes of chocolate, marshmallow, vanilla, Licorice, and bark. The body is medium light and smooth. This was not a good beer, hard to drink and was chalky.

On draft at the brewery. It's black in the glass with a ring of khaki head around the edge. The barrel gets kind of lost on the nose. Sweet cracker is most prevalent along with subtle vanilla marshmallow notes. There is a little bit of booze as well but that is the only knowledge of the barrel aged provenance of this beer. Definitely lots going on in the nose. The taste supports the fact that cracker is the most prevalent note on the nose. You have to really look hard for the chocolate and the marshmallow kind of disappears. There is not as much going on in the taste of this beer as there was in the nose. The feel is pretty spot on from where it should be. Not thin, not overly carbonated; just right. Overall this beer is very good in its own right, but it is missing chocolate notes to truly make the name appropriate. The other notes are all there.
