new one on tap at the lounge, with a big tall white head foaming over the edges of the glass and a soft yellow peach color to it, its easily the prettiest and most lively of the several fruited berliners they had on when we visited. tantalizing nose, with such a mouthwatering aroma of fresh juicy ripe peaches and tangy, slightly acidic and citrusy, highly complimentary lactic sourness. the flavor is just like the nose, with a really assertive peach start that goes great with the fluffier wheat body in here, i taste the grain more in this one than in the others. the tea element is super cool, black tea, like a sweet tea drink from the south, perfectly matched with the peach, and adding a needed bitter mellow earthiness to this, which keeps the peach from not being too sweet, and the sourness from making this one dimensional. it grounds the beer wonderfully, and although its well behind the peach, i think its unique, and the proportions are just right. i would like this just as well in another beer style too, a pale ale, a blonde, even something belgian, i think they have something here with the peach and the tea, and this was hands down my favorite beer made on the one barrel system at the lounge! go drink some before its all gone!
