Pours a dark brown, almost black body in the glass, topped with a modest head that fades to an inky residue on top of the brew.
Aroma implies coffee and raspberries, but not strongly; difficult to separate coffee adjunct from the roasted barley.
Flavor follows, with a restrained blend of raspberries, coffee, bitter chocolate, and char. Very well done overall, but I expected a bit more potency out of this beer. An imperial version is in order.

Black draught pour at the brewery; a touch of ruby on the edges; good clarity under tan cap; decent retention and moderate lacing. Strong coffee nose. Semi sweet and sour berries; tart raspberries and coffee finish. Lite body and still somewhat smooth; moderate plus carbonation. Overall, a coffee forward Porter with something extra in the tart berries and zippy feel; a great breakfast beer in these hot summer months.
