Gifted by @Doctorzombies. Very good barrel aged version of the Maple Bacon Porter, which was damn tasty. It’s sweet, smoky, roasty, boozy, and savory. A bit thick and syrupy, big bodied, a meal of a beer with a strong bite. Like it.

 

 

 

A - Dark brown/black thick toffee colored creamy lacing, massive legs on the sides of the glass.

S - Rich maple syrup, chocolate, vanilla, bourbon, delicate oak, and spice.

T - Chocolate, maple, spicy, vanilla, bourbon.

M - Big, rich, and full bodied. Velvety. Semi-dry finish.

O - This beer is a must if you're able to find one. 'Got lucky tonight at a bottle share. The depth of this beer is simply amazing.

 

Poured out as a deep rich black color with a thin brown head on top. The smell of the beer is floods your nose with maple, chocolate, coffee and vanilla. The taste matches the nose closely. The feel of the beer is silky smooth and creamy. Overall it's an outstanding beer. Definitely nice to see Funky Buddha still does some great things.

 

Sweet milk chocolate nose. Vanilla and coffe, not getting any maple. Taste is much better. Coffee upfront with a sweet maple finish. Much sweeter than the Louisville version.
