Poured into a Funky Buddha snifter. Appearance is black with a thin soapy mocha head and spotty lacing. Aroma is vegetal and slightly chocolate. The cinnamon is absent in the flavor. I get an artificial vanilla and chocolate up front with an overpowering chili flavor and burn on the back end. No real whiskey barrel flavors, but there is a fusel alcohol presence. The body is watery and thin especially for a 12% stout. If FB was aiming for Hunahpu’s/Abraxas/Mexican Cake, they fell short.
