Our limited bourbon barrel-aged imperial stout is mysteriously dark, perfectly balanced, and aged exclusively in High West Distillery barrels. An addition of vanilla complements this complex stout to create explosive flavors from another dimension.

Void Shaker goes hand in hand with a spring trip to the sunshine state. This year we got the green bottle or vanilla variant. Has a vanilla extract addition but it is a higher quality. The stout has a rich and lingering finish. The most important part is that it holds the void shaker base very well. So many memories holding a VS in hand.

L: Pours a thick dark oily black with a small white head and no lacing in the glass.
S: Sweet milk chocolate with a strong note of vanilla, a touch of roasted malt, and a nice bourbon.
T: Very sweet, some toasted wood, and a bit of vanilla, some sweet milk chocolate and hi to of bourbon and a bit of bitterness, it does drink a little sweet for my taste.
F: Very smooth and cola like carbonation
O: Solid stout that is a bit sweet for my tastes.

I tried this beer at the brewery with HomeBrew as part of a five sample flight. It poured an opaque dark with thin ecru head that did not leave any lace. The scent was subtle with hints of maple and vanilla. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with sweet malt base and had maple, vanilla and bourbon finish. Like a Zagnut bar. The mouthfeel was fuller in body with smooth carbonation. Overall it is a solid beer.
