22oz wax top bottle poured into a tulip

A- pours jet black in color with a one-finger foamy dark khaki colored head that reduces to a ring around the glass

S- the brandy barrel is big on the nose and combines with the smoky notes of the base beer to give a truly unique aroma experience. The barrel gives dark fruit aromas of booze soaked raisins and figs, red grapes as well as wet oak, leather and a blast of cherry pipe tobacco. Undertones of the base beer pop through, adding smoke, maple syrup, chocolate syrup, pancakes, caramel and creamy vanilla

T- as with the nose, a huge blast of brandy hits the tongue immediately, giving notes of dark cherries, raisins, tobacco, some vinous red wine notes and soft wet oak. Mid-palate brings out the base beer, with the smoke popping through the barrel notes, along with chocolate fudge, brownie batter, sweet maple, even some fluffy pancake. M- medium body with moderate carbonation leads to a foamy mouthfeel that turns creamy into a velvety, slightly warming finish

O- Original Morning Wood is one of my favorite beers of all time, this variant ranks right up there with it. I wasn't sure how the brandy barrel would play out, but it completely transforms this beer. Outstanding
