Poured from a 12 oz can. This is a light wheat ale with a fresh tropical nose and mildly tart, fruity flavors. It has very little resemblance to a hefeweizen, but it is a pleasant, refreshing impression. It would be easy to drink on a hot day in Florida.

Picked up a Sixer at Publix on this steaming hot day. Local brewery or was, I think AB snatched it up. Let's see if the quality is still there! Popping the top I get a sweet malty euro lager type waft. Pours into my palm tree glass to a orange color with a crusty head that goes fast. Taste is very mild up front, sparkly and good body. Middle transitions to the classical wheat breadiness, then a flat mouthcoating bitterness combines with a bouquet of fruit flavors. A versatile beer for sipping or gulping. The wheat is all there and the fruitiness is nice but not overdone.

What a great tasting beer - a dessert beer, almost...
Decent haze for the style, a sickly yellow coloration - not my favorite to my liking. The smell was rich and full of mangoes, pineapple, and pears - it was delectable to my nose. Mouthfeel was very carbonated, but it lightened as it warmed, and the taste was full of the fruit mentioned on the can - it was sweet and delicious - a fruity dessert beer if I have ever had one. Great brew, and one worthy of the "Floridian" tag...

This year, we got to try the new Tropical Floridian. A bright and punchy light hefeweizen that really brings the fruit flavor. Passionfruit and mango sing even given the light base. A step up from the standard Flordian.
