Thanks to funkybuddha for this treat.
A- Nice tan head about 2 fingers, a bit cloudy
S- Banana right away, Raisins, candy sugar
T- Extremely sweet, but some great candy, vanilla and fruit flavors beneath. I couldn't really overcome the sweetness. If it was toned down I think I would've loved this beer
M- Smooth, medium/high carbonation
O- Glad I shared the bottle w/ UpToMeBeer, too sweet to do more than about 10oz.

It was my first opportunity to try a Funky Buddha beer. Brown bottle with no label. It pours a hazy orange-brown with minimal head. The smell is fantastic-- heavy banana. The surprise comes in the taste: Very sweet. You get a lot of banana and some bread and spices. The sweetness exceeds what you expect from the nose but it's pretty delicious and warms nicely. I am impressed by Funky Buddha based on this experience and am eager to try whatever else they make.

Had this at the brewpub yesterday. Review from notes. Received in a snifter. I was told this is a Quad by the bartender.
3.5 A: Somewhere between dark brown and black color. Came sans head, so no comment there.
3.5 S: Absolutely jam packed with candi sugar. After that dark caramel and light spiciness from the Belgian yeast. Only minimally fruity (or perhaps much of it is covered by the candi sugar) with just a touch of prune and tobacco.
2.5 T: Again, lots of candi sugar and I have no trouble stating there is simply way too much. The residual sweetness left behind is far too strong, making the beer borderline cloying. Dark caramel malts again with minor fruitiness.
4.0 M: Medium body. Good spritzy carbonation. Sweetness lingers into the aftertaste.
2.0 D: Decent tasting beer, but too sweet throughout the whole experience. Even with friends helping, it was difficult to drink the whole snifter.

Enjoyed out of a bottle into a glass thanks to dimenhetfield.
I did call them to find out what class of beer this was (and what the abv was 9.2%) even though i pretty much knew after drinking but just wanted to make sure before i created this.
bottle labelled with tape Barefoot buddha
A- Nice tan head 1 inch thick, Brownish orange color to it, Kinda hazy.
S- Raisins, Darkfruits, Trappist yeast.
T- Raisins, Candied sugars, Caramel, Dark fruits, Very sweet, And a alcohol warming in the back of your throat.
M- Nice and creamy, Smooth, medium/high carbonation, sticky sweet.
O- This is a great beer that i enjoyed till it was gone dont think that i would want to drink more then one in a night but i would grab one on tap if i was there for sure.
