Notes from 7/2012
A - Pours a turbid golden brown with one finger of white head. Decent amount of lacing left behind.
S - One of the bartenders said they thought it smelled like cup-a-soup. I get that a bit, almost a salty smell, if that makes sense.
T - Luckily, the cup-a-soup doesn't show itself in the taste. Nice tart crispness with a bit of a lactic presence and a bit of lemon.
M - On the lighter side of medium. Appropriate for the style.
O - I wasn't sure about this one at first, but it ended up being quite tasty. A nice experiment from FB.

On tap at the Buddha. Served in a wine glass.
Appearance - Greenish yellow. Hazy. Decent white head on arrival. White collar and some lacing.
Smell - Lemony acidity. Green grassy aroma. Slight floral aroma.
Taste - Weird. Lime more than lemon. Moderate tartness. Green flavor again. Strong lime flavor and grainy taste. Best description is if you let your lemon lime Theraflu get cold.
Mouthfeel - Heavier than I expected. Medium carbonation. Wish it were more refreshing.
Overall - Disappointing. Odd flavors. Doesn't help that I don't really know what jasmine smells or tastes like. I ended up not finishing it.

On-tap at the Hunahpu's Hangover Day event at 7venth Sun on 3/10/13. Served in a plastic cup.
A- Pours an opaque yellow/light orange color with a finger of creamy white head, with nice retention and lacing.
S- Nice tartness, some wheat, the jasmine aroma is subtle but floral and slightly sweet. Smells very nice overall.
T- Great tartness, even for a Berliner it's on the more sour side, very lactic. There's also some wheat sweetness. The jasmine doesn't show up in the flavor, although apparently it isn't supposed to? Anyway it's spot-on for a straightforward Berliner.
M- Light-bodied, smooth and dry.
O- More simple than some other Funky Buddha Berliners, but still damn tasty. The jasmine is subtle and smells very nice. It was great for a hot day in Florida, highly drinkable, I could put back a pitcher of this with no trouble.
