I've seen this beer in various stores in Southern California. Yet, there are no reviews and only 2 Hads as I write this. I expect that the lack of attention may be because of the price since there is no hype one way or the other at this point.
In any event, this bottle says 14/14 on it.
It pours a crystal clear dark yellow with a very thin and extremely fast fading white head.
The nose is complex, herbal and appealing. The beer purportedly has been brewed with Elderflowers and aged with Wild Salmonberries. The nose inviting and layered with herbs and spices.
Mouth feel is medium bodied with light carbonation and a crisp herbal dryness.
Tastes like a bastardized Cantillon Mamouche. Flavor profile is herbal, salty, celery, green peppers and light mint. There are complex layers of earth and vegetables. This is likely a very good food beer.
Finish is stale over ripe vegetables in the mid finish and then finally rounds out to a dry green herbal clean finish.
All in all this is a complex layered beer; somewhat unique. The more I drink it the more I like it, except for the mid-finish which is not very good.
