Il Guciema Porter Kvass
Ilgezeem
Porter Kvass is produced of natural ingredients; it is fermented, foamy, thick, lightly carbonated, non-alcoholic drink with a pronounced rye bread and malt taste and aroma. Malt Drink does not contain food colourings, artificial flavourings and sweeteners! Porter kvass is brewed from fermented rye and barley malt according to a production technology especially developed at ILGEZEEM brewery and aimed at producing the taste and flavour of rye bread so familiar to all of us as a result of fermentation and to preserve in the drink the biologically active substances contained in rye and barley malt. It is recommended to cool the product before serving to +15°C, then Malt Drink quenches thirst well in hot weather.

1.5 L plastic bottle. BB 9/28/16. DFH tulip.
A: pours a nearly opaque dark brown, slightly transparent at the edges. No head, syrupy pour. No visible carb. No retention no lacing.
S: sweet, toasty, syrupy. Cane syrup. Some rye spice comes through, like German sport bread with cane syrup poured on it.
T: much like the smell, sweet, with a good bit of grainy rye. A lot like drinking soda fountain syrup without the carbonation.
M: heavy and slick. Aftertaste of sugary rye lingers. No carbonation at all.
O: it was a nice experiment, and I'm sure there is a segment of the population for which this is pure nostalgia, but I will not be having this again.
