Copenhagen 30/12 2022. 50 cl bottle from BulgarskMad, Åboulevarden, Kbh. N. The usual design for the Medalus brand with some cherries on display.
Pours clear burgundy with a small pink head. Bubbly. Settles as thin rim of foam running along the side of the glass. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense and saturated in a sweet odor of cherries and sugar with a light touch of butter. Ripe cherries, white sugar, a bit of vanilla, almond liqueur.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, greasy, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is fairly intense with a strong sweetness followed by a moderate sourness. Aftertaste is sweet marzipan and cherries. Lingers for a while. Finish is semi-dry.
Like Dessert wine or Liqueur of the very sweet variety.

L: Quite clear deep red color, two and a half finger tan colored head, messy lacing, light carbonation.
