On tap at One Main in Babylon, NY

A - Dark amber color with a thin white foam. Minimal lacing on this beer. Foam retention was minor.

S - Smell of a grassy hop aroma was the first thing I picked up. There is a lingering roasty\smoky smell.

T - Some flavors of caramel, but they are overpowered by ....a smoky malt flavor? Very odd, though not in a terrible way. Finish is with a mellowed earthy hop bitterness.

M - Easy drinking beer that paired well with my pizza. This would go well with some local seafood.

O - First try from this brewery. An okay beer that isn't all that special, but hard to find a fault. A little variant from the style in my opinion. I'd try another of their offerings, as they seem to be one of the more mainstream local brewers.

Poured a dark amber hue with a two finger foamy white head. There was very good retention and sticky lacing.

The smell featured an earthy caramel malt and grassy hop.

The taste consisted of dry spicy caramel malts balanced rather well by a light grassy hop.

The mouthfeel was toward the ruler side of the style with a dry finish.

Overall a tasty amber ale.

Visited the brewery for there soft opening... sampled the amber ale and there ipa.

Takeb from notes as at the time They were not listed.. sent BA a email and now there up...awesome...

Since I visited in June I seen They also added a wheat beer, a pale ale and a raspberry.

Poured a brown "amber" color... lots of thick antique white head... beautiful sticky lacing.

Smell was coffee.. huuuhhh... very weird... malty clean and crisp smelling... hops were somewhere in the middle but noticeable.

Taste was a malt forward with the coffee taste hitting midway. Lots of other stiffy in there... spice, bread.

Nice mouthfeel that wasn't overly overpowering in any aspect. Medium light bodied with a pleasant aftertaste.

I was very surprised by this brew. Not what you expected in smell or taste from the style or look. Very well balanced, clean tasting and an overall excellent beer.
